Boris Johnson hires new Director of Communications

Boris Johnson has hired Will Walden, currently BBC's Westminster News Editor, as his new Director of Communications.

Walden has 20 years experience in both the public and commercial sector, having worked across local, regional and national television and radio for the BBC, ITN, GMTV and Granada. Set to take up the role in July, Walden said 'After 12 fantastic years at the BBC, I'm delighted to be joining Boris Johnson and his team at what is an incredible time for London and for Londoners'.
